Young people can benefit greatly from a little knowledge about planting flowers, shurbs and vegetables. Learning some of these skills can spark a lifelong interest in gardening, contribute to better physical & mental health, and may even keep them alive in certain instances!

I have several different gardening options for kindergarteners to senior students.

 

We can accompany age-appropriate crafts with planting and/or educational materials & lessons. I can also do both, or one, for all age groups. We can do a one-time session, or we can do a prolonged project (to oversee plant growth & education long-term). We can do indoor sessions or outdoor gardening sessions (if there is space and supplies for that).

 

I would be happy to consult with you to arrange the best session(s) that suit your student’s needs.

What I Offer:

**PLANTING STATIONS for students- planting lovely flowers, herbs, or vegetables. I’ll bring in the soil, the pots, the gardening tools, the watering cans, the plants & whatever other supplies we need.

**VARIOUS CRAFTS (to accompany planting flowers or vegetables) such as Painting/Decorating Planting Pots, Garden Art Bookmarks, Painted Rocks & Popsicle Sticks for our pots, and many more options!

**EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS & MATERIALS that cover topics like Soil Health, Soil Amendments, the Power of Manure, How do plants like to be watered?, The wisdom of organic gardening, Why we might want to learn to grow our own vegetables, What is composting? And much more…!

OR we can just plant!
